Introduction

This directory lists 105 books written by 60 authors who are blind or have low vision. It is a companion to Blind Authors, which profiles the people. This page puts the books first, so you can find one by title, category, year, or format.

A book is included when all of the following are true, the same tests Blind Authors uses:

Blind Authors shows up to three books per person. This directory has no such limit: it includes every book that meets the tests and has a verified link.

Each book has a heading that links to where you can get it, a one-sentence description, and fields in alphabetical order: Author, Available from, Category, Format, Wikipedia where an article exists, and Year. The Author field links to that person’s entry in Blind Authors. A field is left out when it is not known. Books are listed alphabetically by title, ignoring a leading A, An, or The, under a heading for each letter. Statistics come next, and appendixes group the books by category, by year, and by author.

Each book belongs to its author and publisher. This directory’s own text is available under CC BY-SA 4.0. It is English-language in scope. Its companions are Blind Apps, Blind Creators, Blind Developers, and Blind Presenters.
